There are more than 450 children in foster care every night in Jasper County. In 2019, Jasper County CASA was founded with a vision for An Advocate for Every Child by 2024. We have 80 trained volunteers supporting over 160 foster children, and will continue this growth – in our own permanent location – until our vision is achieved.
Establishing the CASA Training & Connection Center will provide permanency for our program and the children we serve. Nearly all children served by Jasper County CASA have endured some form of trauma that impacts their sense of safety, and many have never experienced the warmth of an inviting home environment. Constant crisis thwarts dreams of a future, but in the new CASA center, children will be surrounded by safety, consistency and support so their dreams are nurtured and encouraged. Advocates appointed to older youth will have a place to teach teens key life skills such as cooking and studying. Advocates working with younger children will have both indoor and outdoor spaces to play and learn.
The Center will provide:
“I trusted my CASA. She was the only face I recognized after every move.”

Constructing and furnishing the Jasper County CASA Training and Connection Center will create a comfortable, safe and welcoming space for CASA volunteers, staff, and the kids they serve. The total cost of the project is $1,000,000. As of January 1, 2022, the CASA Board, Staff, and Campaign Committee have reached their funding project goal. Ground-breaking for the facility on February 15th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
Your donation gives a child who has experienced abuse and neglect a powerful voice in court, at school, and in our community. Your donation paves the way for CASA to recruit, train, and support volunteers.
